SUMMARY:Coding with Scratch for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:Teens in grades 6-12 are welcomed to come to the Chagrin Falls Branch Library to learn to code using Scratch. Scratch is a programming language where kids can program and share interactive media such as stories\, games\, and animation. Learning to code teaches one to think creatively\, work collaboratively\, and reason systematically. These sessions are planned for beginners. We will create a project where kids can code and create their own storyboard with animation and graphics. Laptops will be supplied by the library\, or you can bring your own laptop. Teens MUST attend all four Saturday sessions and have a Scratch account (set up a free Scratch account at https://scratch.mit.edu and click on “Join Scratch” on the top right corner of the screen. Students will need their user id and password at the start of the class).  Registration is required for this free program (440-247-3556)
