2024 Rubber Ducky Race over the Falls!

The Chagrin Valley Chamber is excited to announce our 4th Annual Rubber Ducky Race! What is a Rubber Ducky Race, you ask?  A rubber ducky's journey down the river, under the bridge and over the falls to the finish line.  If your adoption paper's number matches the number on the bottom of the winning duck... you win!

To participate, adopt a duck or a flock and cheer on your ducks as they sail through the river to the finish line. One lucky duck will win the first place price of $1000.00, second place winner $500.00 and third place an amazing gift basket!! Don't miss out on the chance to adopt one of our 3,000 racing ducks for the event. Will you adopt the lucky duck? 

AQUA DOC will make sure that no duck is left behind and will be handling everything in the River with the assistance of the Chagrin Valley Fire Department.

Race Day Timeline 9a - 11am:
9:00am - Family Fun Festivities begin
9:45am - AQUA DOC will place the ducks into the Chagrin River
10:00am - Countdown, horn and release of the rubber ducks!
10:30am - Family Yoga with Ubuntu Wellness begins

Festivities including member vendor tables, balloon twister, DJ, characters, etc continue until 11am. After the race, make reservations at one of our local restaurants, shop at our local merchants or simply enjoy the falls! Township Hall will be available for restroom use. 

Race Day Specials:

💦 ETALIAN Opening early at 8:30a with special cinnamon rolls, pizza and a great, indoor viewing spot!
💛 EVERGREEN BAKERY will open at 8am with special duck themed treats JUST for race day!
🍿 The Popcorn Shop opening early for the race at 9am

Some fine print:
RACE RULES: The main race begins when approximately 3,000 rubber ducks are dumped into the Chagrin River. The first duck to cross the finish line will win $1000.00, second duck $500.00 and third duck a gift basket.
Each duck is the same exact size, color and weight. Approximately 3,000 rubber ducks participate in the race. The number on your Duck Adoption Certificate corresponds with the number on the bottom of the rubber duck entered into the race. The decision of the winning duck is up to the sole discretion of the Aqua Doc staff and is final. Winners must be 18 years of age or older and do not need to be present to win. Winners are contacted via email, following the races. Corresponding Duck Adoption Certificate may be required as verification before prizes are awarded. Prizes must be picked up within 10 days at the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce. There are no refunds.
