Blossom Time in the Valley

A cherished tradition since 1935, Blossom Time marks the start of summer in the Chagrin Valley each Memorial Day weekend. Originally featuring a Queen Contest, soapbox derby, baby show, and baseball games, it has grown to include parades, concerts, and floral displays.

Since 1956, the Chagrin Valley Jaycees have led the festivities, preserving traditions while expanding the celebration. The weekend kicks off Thursday with a carnival, music, and a hot air balloon glow. Friday and Saturday bring balloon races, food contests, and reunions, while Sunday features a 5K race and grand parade. The festivities conclude Monday with the Memorial Day Parade and ceremonies.

Drawing tens of thousands each year, Blossom Time continues to create lasting memories.
