Horticulture Technician - Up to $22/Hour

Carmel Landscapes is Northeast Ohio’s premier eco-friendly, sustainability-first landscape design and construction company. We are seeking an experienced Horticulture Technician to join our team serving clients in the Chagrin Valley area.

About the role:

Join our certified team working on premium landscape installations, native plantings and sustainable maintenance programs for high-end clients. We offer year-round employment with benefits and PTO for full-time employees, and provide professional development opportunities.

Key job duties:

• Material logistics and handling

• General duty landscaping tasks (planting, pruning, plant health)

• Aggregate, plant and mulch installations

• Artistic eye and attention to detail for high-end installations

• The ability to work in a clean, safe outdoor work environment in most weather conditions

• Professional client interaction

• Snow removal and plowing (required for full-time, year-round employment)

Required experience:
3+ years experience in hands-on landscape installation experience.

• Demonstrated plant identification knowledge (Ohio native species)

• Experience with professional landscape equipment

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• ANSI A300 standard plant care knowledge

• Expert soil analysis

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions

• Great teamwork skills with proactive initiative

Pay and Benefits for full-time employees:

• $22/hr for well-qualified candidate
